Santa, Father Frost comes on New Year's here. This is the big tree in the center of town next to the "White House". We bought I smaller tree for our apartment for $1 USD. I believe this statue of Lenin is the largest in Central Asia.

Hi Theo and Meg, Alec Hurt here. I finally have broadband internet and a second hand computer from JAS. It's raining here in Seattle at the moment and I am typing from the office of my new apartment in Greenwood. Have been moving in over the past few days. Hope you guys are doing well. Business is good, even with the doom and gloom the rest of the country and media are projecting. I suppose even in the far east you here the news. So anyway it sure is nice not having to wait 4 hours for a photo to download or whatever on my old dialup/computer. As soon as I figure out how to get some pictures into this thing I'll send them your way. Till next time. Alec
